Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the FarthestFuel mobile application ("App") operated by FarthestFuel ("we", "us", or "our").

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using FarthestFuel, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Description of Service

FarthestFuel is a trip planning application that helps users identify optimal fuel stops along a driving route. The App provides estimates and suggestions based on:

  • Vehicle fuel economy data from the EPA
  • Gas station location data from OpenStreetMap
  • User-provided information about current fuel levels

Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

We do not warrant that:

  • Fuel economy estimates will match your actual vehicle performance
  • Gas station information is accurate, complete, or current
  • Gas stations shown will be open or operational
  • Route calculations will account for all driving conditions

Fuel range estimates are approximations. Actual range varies based on driving conditions, vehicle maintenance, weather, terrain, driving style, and other factors. Always monitor your fuel gauge and use your own judgment.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FarthestFuel shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

  • Running out of fuel
  • Missed appointments or delays
  • Vehicle damage
  • Any costs incurred due to reliance on the App

Your use of the App is at your own risk.

User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Verify fuel levels and range using your vehicle's instruments
  • Not rely solely on the App for fuel planning decisions
  • Use the App safely and not while actively driving
  • Provide reasonably accurate information about your vehicle

Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by FarthestFuel and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services including Apple MapKit and OpenStreetMap. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies.

Modifications

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the App at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
