Frequently Asked Questions
How does FarthestFuel calculate my range?
We use your vehicle's EPA fuel economy rating combined with your current fuel level to estimate how far you can drive. We apply a safety buffer to ensure you never cut it too close.
Where does the gas station data come from?
We use OpenStreetMap data to find gas stations along your route. This includes major chains and independent stations.
Do I need an internet connection?
You need an internet connection to plan a trip and find gas stations. Once your route is planned, you can hand off to Apple Maps for navigation.
Is my data private?
Yes! FarthestFuel doesn't require an account and doesn't collect personal data. Your vehicle info and trip history stay on your device.
How do I add multiple vehicles?
Go to Settings → Manage Vehicles → Add Vehicle. You can switch between vehicles when planning a trip.
The app shows no stops needed but I'm worried about range. What should I do?
FarthestFuel already applies a safety buffer. If you're still concerned, you can adjust your fuel level estimate to be more conservative, or simply stop when comfortable.
